HD utilised their skilled innovation and concepting team to provide a complete product refresh to Terrafix’s touch screen solution for the emergency services.
Terrafix were able to reduce manufacturing costs by 90%, further reduce part count and tooling costs and increase the perceived value and therefore market demand for the product following HD’s design refresh. There were challenges to overcome, such as the need for the screen to withstand 10G loads in the event of a collision, however, HD were able to overcome challenges quickly without compromising on quality.
