HD provided an easy access, bolt-on design service to design and build a turnkey aircraft seat test rig.
HD were tasked with designing, building and delivering a test rig within tight time constraints, meaning the team had to rapidly develop the rig and co-ordinate a network of suppliers to ensure each element was available and could be assembled within said time constraints. Through careful application of concurrent design principles and material selection, BE Aerospace received a rig that had been designed for manufacture from the outset with tolerance analysis and assembly process included.
