Founded in 1995, Haughton Design has evolved from a specialist engineering team in aerospace and test rigs into a leading medical device design consultancy trusted by global pharmaceutical and MedTech companies.
Since delivering our first medical device project in 2012, we’ve expanded our expertise across drug delivery, respiratory care, parenteral systems, stoma care, diagnostics and patient handling. Today, our multidisciplinary team combines technical excellence with creativity to deliver safe, effective and commercially successful products for highly regulated industries.
With more than 35 global patents to our name, Haughton Design is recognised for its high-quality, high-value approach — helping clients bring innovative healthcare technologies to market worldwide.
HD have held ISO: 9001 and ISO: 13485 certifications since 2013 and continue to be recommended for recertification. We also work to ISO: 14971, U.S. CFR 820 and other global regulations.
Our design management system works to BS 7000-2:2008, and we also hold Cyber Essentials certifications to protect ours and our clients data against cyber threats.
